As more members of Generation Z start transitioning into the workforce, there's one industry that may not be high on many priority lists but it should be insurance. The insurance industry provides many of the job benefits that Gen Z and younger professionals are looking for: job security, work flexibility, good pay, and a work environment that is becoming more and more digital.

In this recent article Kristin Nease, vice president of human resources at Vertafore, shares several compelling reasons why members of Gen Z should consider insurance jobs, including the fact that "few fields offer newcomers the kind of job satisfaction and stability that insurance does" and that "compared with many sectors that had to lay off employees during the pandemic, insurance job losses were small over the past year." There is high demand for new insurance professionals and insurance is one industry in which job satisfaction is continually high.
